AM + PM Face Toners // Recipes that Work

I have a couple of clean skincare recipes for you that I use every day. I notice a difference when I use these and they smell AMAZING to boot.

If you're looking to clean up your skincare act (ie ditch the toxins for good!), then making your own face toner is one of the easiest steps!

When I first started cleaning up my skincare products, I used witch hazel to tone after cleansing. I feel like that worked well for my skin for awhile, but since my skin tends to be pretty dry, I wanted to make something that was a bit more moisturizing and power-packed.

*I have used many different brands of essential oils since starting to use them 3-4 years ago. However, I ALWAYS come back to Young Living essential oils every single time. Their quality and effectiveness is simply unmatched. For your safety, and to receive the full benefits of this serum on your skin, I recommend purchasing your oils from Young Living, and I would love to help you! (Click on the tab in the upper right hand corner of this website called "essential oils" to learn more and of course feel free to shoot me an email with any questions.)

AM Toner:

In a 4 oz amber glass spray bottle, I put the following ingredients:

1-2 drops orange essential oil

1-2 drops jasmine essential oil

1-2 drops neroli essential oil

1-2 drops patchouli essential oil

Top off the bottle with rosewater. I use this one

ย

And you're done! Gently shake before each use to mix the ingredients.

Spritz this generously on your face and neck after you wake up in the morning and gently pat into your skin. Before your toner has completely dried, follow with your serum(s) to lock in that moisture! I prefer not to wash my face in the mornings (provided I did a proper oil cleanse the night before) to keep my skin's natural protective barriers in place. You can read this post if you're curious about my no-wash-face-in-the-mornings thing ;)

PM Toner:

The reason I use a different toner in the evening is because I like to use a couple of photosensitive essential oils in this recipe, and you don't want these oils on your skin during the day.

In a 4 oz amber glass spray bottle, I put the following ingredients:

1 drop of Frankincense essential oil*

1 drop of Lemon essential oil*

1 drop of Lavender essential oil*

1 drop of Clary Sage essential oil**

1 drop of Carrot Seed essential oil

1 drop of Patchouli  essential oil

1 drop of Sandalwood essential oil

5 drops of green tea extract

Top off the bottle with rosewater. I use this one

Gently shake before each use to mix the ingredients. Spritz this generously on your face and neck after you cleanse your face and gently pat into your skin. Before your toner has completely dried, follow with your serum(s) to lock in that moisture!

*These oils are included in the Young Living starter kit. Click here to read more about everything that is included in the kit and how to get one.

**use with caution especially if pregnant or breastfeeding.

Always patch test for several days before using a diy recipe all over your face or body.
