Theodore’s room is what used to be the master bedroom before the addition was built. One wall is mostly built-ins, another wall has the door to the closet and the door to the hallway, and the other two walls have large windows on them. Although the room is large, it doesn’t have much wall space! It does get some amazing light in the morning and afternoon.
Eventually, Theo and Auggie will share this room and we’ll add in the matching brass twin bed frame. I found the matching, solid brass set on Facebook marketplace almost two years ago and knew I had to snag it! so, I drove by myself 3 hours one way with a 2 month old!
The overhead light is from Hudson Valley Lighting…it is in their Edison Collection (this one is in polished nickel). This light is such an amazing size and quality. I love it so much that I got one for several of our rooms. I’m so happy with it!
After living in several old homes, I have come to accept that I will never get things to look straight and level in photographs.
For a brief moment, I thought I removing these built-ins, but I’m so glad we didn’t! Since we are short on wall space, I keep Theo’s clothes and shoes all in this area and use his actual closet for extra storage.
There were some old shelves in that nook, but Jeff made a nice built-in desk and some shelves for the boys.
The brass sconce is from Target ages ago.
The boys were handed down a set of John Deer tractors, and they are quite obsessed with them. The barn is Melissa & Doug. The easel and the book shelf were thrifted finds.
I have a lot of the boys’ toys and other things linked in my Amazon favorites, too.
