Our Corner Cottage Dining Room Tour

We don’t have a formal dining room in this house, but I’m completely okay with that. We’re pretty casual people and a dining space right off the kitchen is more our style.

Considering that we didn’t have a whole lot of room for a dining room table, I had to get pretty picky about the table we brought into the space. I wanted something with simple lines, solid wood build, light oak finish, and easily expandable to fit guests.

After doing lots of searching online, I found Hedge House Furniture. I love their beautiful and functional designs, sustainably sourced materials, attention to detail, and the ability to customize - which was exactly what I needed.

I chose their Parsons dining table in White Oak. The Windsor dining chairs with a black charcoal stain and their Parsons Bench in white oak for one side of the table.

This is the Hayward bookcase in white oak and we are using it like a sideboard of sorts. It fits nicely in this odd nook and is the perfect place for me to display the myriad of pretty pieces I have collected over time.

One of the things I love is that the extra leaves can be conveniently stored underneath the table. Even just this little thing is a major plus for me since we don’t have a lot of extra storage in the house.

The art pieces above the bookcase are by Nikki Joiner and they were custom framed by Framebridge. This project was my first time ever having something custom framed, and I have to say that it was such an easy process! I don’t know why it has taken me so long to get some quality pieces of framed art in the house. It really up-levels the space.

Feel free to pin the above image if you’re into saving inspiration on Pinterest like I am! It’s seriously my favorite way to collect and share inspiration.

Most of the knickknacks around my home are thrifted, but I also have a hard time resisting the occasional inexpensive cloches at Target or IKEA. Ha!

Since completing this room, we are one step closer to getting the interior of the house finished. I have some other room tours in the works, but if you want to catch up on past projects on this house, here are some links for you!
