In a world where there is so many ways to virtually connect with people, we are living in a very disconnected time. We see the best of what others choose to show us, but we don’t truly know them. We lack community.
As a stay-at-home mother to young children, I felt a desire to create something of my own and to truly connect and help other women and families. I’m a 3w4 for all you enneagram peeps ;).
I’ve spent a solid decade in the MLM world in various businesses and I’ve learned a ton. Last July, I decided to jump into selling a product I had used and loved for years: Young Living Essential Oils. The timing was right and it aligned with the messaging I was already sharing about our family’s journey in health and wellness.
MLMs might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but I do believe everyone should incorporate essential oils into their natural medicine cabinet and potion-making arsenal - wink.
I have been amazed at how fun and rewarding building my community has been over the last 12 months. We are right at about 500 families strong - and that number flat-out amazes me.
I think what I enjoy about it most is the opportunity to help meet needs. Over the years, I have come to view that five letter word, “sales,” as simply connecting and creating win-win situations.
And beyond building a customer base, I get to work with some amazing women who are building something for themselves too. Encouraging and leading a team of boss babes has been one of the most fulfilling things I’ve ever been able to experience.
Never, ever did I think that I would be in Salt Lake City, Utah in a stadium full of thousands of people being recognized for a rank that was only a dream in my heart 12 months before. I honestly didn’t know if I was that person.
Although I don’t really feel the need to receive public recognition (it’s kind of odd to me actually), it was just really cool to let myself experience a moment that I told myself I was going to experience.
Pictured above is me and my friend and sponsor, Jessica Garvin. I love this girl to death. We are officially IRL friends after a year of virtually building our business together. I am so thankful for her faith in me and for coaching me through the ups and downs of building my business.
Finding your people to link arms with and encourage, celebrate, cry with, and brain storm with is such a cool thing.
This is probably the dressiest I’ve been in years. I’m more a jeans and a t-shirt kinda girl. But the dress didn’t stop me from riding Lime scooters around downtown. Ha!
I absolutely adore Abigail and I am so thankful for this business that brought us together. After months of Voxing and messaging each other, we finally got to hug each other’s necks and hang out! Oh and eat pizza together at 1am.
I am incredibly thankful for all of the “yeses” from this last year. It started with my hesitant “yes” a year ago which has led to hundreds more “yeses” from friends, family, and strangers on the internet. I was able to witness the powerful force of a team on fire. For that, I am blown away. Thank you for those who have trusted me and joined in with me as we all pursue those next steps in health and wellness.
I have a goal set for how many families myself + my team will have linked arms with by next summer. It’s a pretty big number, but I know it’s completely possible.
